I love the cold, Autumn days in Oklahoma. Just enough sun to remind you of summer fun and just enough rain to make you want to sit by the fire with a good book (or video game đ ) Whatever Fall means to you, I hope that youâre able to take a few moments and allow this season to remind you of Godâs grace. Just like rain, His grace is here to wash away whatever gunk has piled up on your heart, fill up the dry pools of your soul and nourish the seeds that have been sown in your spirit. Godâs grace enables us to live a life free of tormenting thoughts and heavy weights. It frees us of worry, sin, shame and even the guilt of being tempted. It restores, revives and brings forth the fruit Heâs designed us to bear.
Remember, you werenât meant to carry such a heavy load. Grace gives you the strength to lay it down and leave it there.
The Bible says to cast “all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].â (1 Peter 5:7 AMP)
Grace gives us the power to do just that! Godâs grace enables us to:
- Forgive
- Be cleansed
- Walk in freedom
- Be strong
- Do Godâs will
